Downtime:0 days
Post-care:After Thermage, patients typically have minimal downtime and can resume normal activities immediately. It is crucial to moisturize the treated area regularly with gentle products and consistently apply broad-spectrum SPF 30+ sunscreen while avoiding direct sun exposure. For a few days post-treatment, avoid harsh skincare products, exfoliants, hot baths, intense exercise, and excessive heat.
Risks:Side effects are generally mild and temporary, including redness, minor swelling, discomfort, and a warm sensation in the treated area, usually resolving within a few hours to a few days. Less common risks include temporary skin sensitivity, surface irregularities, bruising, peeling or flaking skin, small blisters, altered sensation (numbness, tingling, or temporary paralysis), lumps or nodules, and pigment changes. Rarely, superficial burns, scabbing, scarring, or fat atrophy may occur.
