Post-care:Expect temporary redness, swelling, bruising, and tenderness for a few days to a week; apply cold compresses for 10-15 minutes at a time during the first 24-48 hours to help minimize these effects. Avoid strenuous exercise, intense heat, alcohol, and makeup for at least 24-48 hours, and gently hydrate your skin while applying daily broad-spectrum sunscreen.
Risks:Temporary redness, swelling, bruising, tenderness at injection sites, temporary lumps or nodules, mild discomfort, skin breakouts, symptomatic nodules, granuloma formation, vascular occlusion with potential vision loss or blindness, delayed-onset nodules, allergic reactions including hives, rash, swelling, difficulty breathing, and itching, infection at the treatment site with increased redness, swelling, pain, warmth, pus, or discharge.
