Mild redness and swelling are normal for up to 48 hours, and cold compresses can help alleviate discomfort.
Risks:Common temporary side effects: Erythema (redness, 90-100% of patients, resolves in 1-3 days); mild swelling (70-80%, peaks at 24 hours); pinpoint bleeding or bruising (50-60%, minimal); dryness or flaking (40-50%, 3-5 days); transient hyperpigmentation (10-20% in darker skin types, resolves in 1-4 weeks).
