Downtime:3 days
Post-care:Patients typically wear a compression garment for several weeks to minimize swelling and support healing. Light activity can be resumed within a day or two, though strenuous exercise should be avoided for one to two weeks. Some bruising, swelling, and minor fluid leakage from incision sites are normal and usually resolve quickly.
Risks:Common side effects include temporary bruising, swelling, soreness, discomfort, numbness, or altered sensation in the treated area, and minor fluid leakage from incision sites. Less common or rare risks include infection, scarring (incisions are very small), skin burns (rare due to temperature monitoring systems), contour irregularities or unevenness, seroma (fluid collection), prolonged pain or discoloration, and allergic reaction to anesthesia.
